Basingstoke District Practice – Sherfield on Loddon

Message from Adam Greenley, District Ringing Master:

“I would like to start having some different focus methods at the District Practices to vary a little more what we ring. These will be in addition to the usual diet of rounds and call changes, Plain Bob and Grandsire. I am hoping it will provide a little bit of challenge at all levels!

For those who can plain hunt to Plain Bob or Grandsire – treble to St Simon’s and St Martin’s. With these methods the bells are in a different order on the way back down to the way up.

For those who can already ring surprise, we will have a focus on London. Again depending on demand and availability of ringers this will include plain and bob courses.”

It would be good to have a look at the focus methods before the practice and be ready to stretch yourself and give it a go!
