Winchester District ADM – Winchester Cathedral and St John the Baptist Church Winchester
Winchester Cathedral and St John the Baptist Church Winchester
- Open Ringing at the Cathedral from 2.30 – 3.30pm
- Optional tours of St John’s Tower from 3pm
- Tea at St John’s 4 – 4.30pm
- ADM at St John’s 4.30– 6pm
We are delighted that the ADM will be hosted by the Cathedral ringers at two venues; the afternoon kicks off with open ringing at the Cathedral and then moves to St John the Baptist Church, a short walk from the Cathedral, where the Cathedral ringers, with the support of St John’s PCC, are spearheading plans for a wonderful ringing training centre: https://winchesterbells.org
St John’s PCC members will be leading tours of the tower where the old, unringable bells are still in situ. Tea will be served at St John’s and the meeting will be held there too. Please join us for this rare chance to see, from the beginning, the dawn of a new era of ringing in our District.
