We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Helen McCormack as our new Safeguarding Officer. subject to confirmation at the Guild’s Annual General Meeting tomorrow. This appointment was confirmed at the Guild AGM on Saturday 13th June.
Helen is a member of the band at Bishopstoke where she is the tower Safeguarding Officer. In her professional career she was a Consultant Psychiatrist, Medical Director, and Medical Member of the Mental Health Tribunal. Since retiring from clinical practice she has worked for the Medical Practitioners’ Tribunal Service.
She is also currently a Trustee of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, where she chairs the Trust’s Safeguarding Committee, and is a member of the national Wildlife Trusts’ Community of Assurance for Safeguarding.
