Coronation of King Charles III on 6th May 2023

‘Ring for the King’ – not long now!
News and guidelines from the CCCBR:
“It has now been announced the Coronation will take place at Westminster Abbey at 11 a.m. on 6th May. Many bands will have already made their arrangements and many ringers may be involved in ringing at more than one tower. For this reason, the CCCBR are not suggesting a specific time to ring, although the morning would be preferable, preceding the Service time. Ringing is encouraged at any time convenient to the ringers and church authorities, and should be recorded on Bellboard https://bb.ringingworld.co.uk/event.php?id=16546
For us all, this historic occasion offers an amazing opportunity to promote ringing and its benefits and to encourage more recruits to start on an amazing journey in bell ringing. The Guild will be issuing a Press Release before this major national event but, as ever, we encourage Districts and Towers to engage with local churches, communities and media. We have seen some great results from ringers using their local knowledge and contacts and it can make for some very positive results indeed. I would be pleased to support with local publicity and public relations matters to the best of my ability, if requested to do so.
