With our Island motto we welcome all to the world of Bell Ringing here on the Isle of Wight.

Our ringing times are below (tower times should be checked though, please contact before you visit). We hope you enjoy your ringing with us!

Our Youth team competes in the National Championships, and there’s a busy program of District events to take your ringing up to the next level.

Access to the Isle of Wight is via ferry!

Services are as follows:
Lymington – Yarmouth: Wightlink car ferry ( approximately 40 minutes);
Portsmouth – Fishbourne: Wightlink car ferry (approximately 45 minutes);
Portsmouth – Ryde: Wightlink catamaran (approximately 20 minutes); there is a train service at the port to take you down Ryde Pier to Ryde Esplanade and Islandwide bus services or onward to Shanklin;
Southsea – Ryde: Hovertravel hovercraft (approximately 15 minutes); again linking with bus services and train service at the        Esplanade to Shanklin, and to other Island towns;
Southampton – East Cowes: Red Funnel car ferry (approximately 1 hour crossing time);
Southampton – West Cowes: Red Jet hydrofoil (approximately 25 minutes).

Note that on all car ferry’s you are able to travel as a passenger without a vehicle. There are two airports here, one at Bembridge and one at Sandown, but no regular flights exist.

Train stations are: Ryde Pier Head, Ryde Esplanade, Ryde St John’s, Smallbrook (for Steam Railway centre), Brading, Sandown, Lake, Shanklin.

No passport or Visa is currently required to visit. Distance from England is just over 4 miles in distance but 40 years in time, so be prepared to chill! Currency is Pound Sterling. Yes, we do drive on the left but care is needed on our quiet narrow country roads as during the summer months we have a lot of cyclists and horse riders using the same system.
